Preamble

  1. This policy outlines the procedures established by Ecovenience Canada Inc. with regards to the distribution of information and the privacy of our clients, staff, and business partners.

Definitions

  1. Both personal and business information is to be treated and handled with the utmost respect and confidentiality.
    1. Personal information is defined as any identifying information about an individual or group of individuals, including name, date of birth, address, phone number, e-mail address, social insurance/ number, health history, financial data, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, assets, debts, liabilities, payment records, credit records, and records of loans.
    2. Business information is defined as business name, business address, telephone number, name(s) of owner(s) staff members, business registration numbers, and financial status.
    3. For the purpose of this policy both personal and business information will be referred to as ‘information’.

Consent occurs and is obtained when an individual or business representative signs an application, contract, or other document containing information, thereby authorizing Ecovenience Canada Inc. to collect, use, and discloses the information for the purposes stated on the document or in the ‘Appropriate Use of Information’ section of this policy.
    1. Consent to verify information from third party sources is granted by the individual or representative when they sign an application or document.  This information will only be used to assist Ecovenience Canada Inc. in processing and assessing the eligibility of a client or business partner. The consent provided under this section would only apply to information that is applicable to the application or document that the individual or representative is signing.
